This contract with our UK Central Government client is INSIDE IR35 paying £660 per day for 6 months based in Telford.

Application deadline Thursday 18th July at 2pm.

Responsible for: Operational management of Linux servers, delivering a complex web application stack; building and configuring new server platforms and the automated tooling to do so; testing, debugging and troubleshooting of platform level problems; and supporting development teams with configuring applications for deployment.

Develop industrial grade Ansible Playbooks, Terraform Plays to automate complete deployment runs of our major shared service applications.

Work in a disciplined and well-practiced Agile way using appropriate tooling (listed above) to release code and manage work through development, pre-production, and live.


Minimum Requirement:

Private or pub sec

Min 3 yrs experience within CLOUD exposure

Delivering application or implementation and Automation of the aps and infrastructure =


Candidates will have good experience of on-boarding organisations into the cloud with focus on automation.

They will be articulate and able to join a team of highly motivated DevOps engineers working to an Agile methodology.

Needs AGILE background – must be able to demonstrate ownership for something ie process/ project anything where THEY had to make decisions and not follow the pack - this needs to be demonstrated on the CV

They will be using CI/CD tooling (Jenkins) and write documentation (Gitlab and Confluence). The candidates will have had sole responsibility in delivering major applications in production ready state to the cloud.

CDG Development require highly skilled DevOps Engineers with specialist experience in automation of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS and Azure) components and major applications (NetBackup V8.2, Splunk 7.x, ELK 7.x, PowerDNS 4.x).

Ideal candidates should hold certifications (or have equivalent knowledge) in one of the following Cloud platforms:

•AWS (Devops Engineer Certified)

•Azure (Devops Expert Certified)

Candidates will also have one or more current qualifications (or equivalent knowledge) in:

•RedHat (RHCSA qualified)

•Windows (MCSA certified)

•Ansible (RHCE Ansible certified)

Good working knowledge of Agile and DevOps ways of working with hands on experience with GitLab (or GutHub), Jira, Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible.
