Job Description – Part Time/Job Share Burnham Lecturer Mechanical Principles in the Academic Principles Organisation at DSAE Cosford The job share arrangement will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Week 1 and Wednesday Thursday, Friday week 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Mechanical Principles and related topics to RAF FT and IDT students on a City & Guilds level 3 Technician course.
Other tasks may include course design, production of course manuals and the marking and invigilation of exams.
The applicant must be able to deliver a minimum of two of the following topics; Aerodynamics, Engineering Science, Materials, Mathematics. Applicants must possess a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. In exceptional circumstances applicants who have an HNC and significant trade experience in the required subjects may be considered. Applicants should also have a recognised teaching certificate at Level 5 (Cert Ed) i.a.w the Burnham Lecturer Management Practices Document.
Candidates must have a degree or higher in Aerospace/Mechanically based Engineering and a Teaching Certificate at level 5 or above.
