Our Client, owns, operates and develops Britain’s railway infrastructure . That’s 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts and the thousands of signals, level crossings and stations. They manage 20 of the UK’s largest stations while all the others, over 2,500, are managed by the country’s train operating companies.
Contract Length: 16 months
3 days a week or other 2 on site depending on meetings and schedules.
Site visits will be from Croydon to Chichester to Portsmouth to Eastbourne.
Looking after sub contractors looking after faults in maintenance.
Liaising with them and the issues that need to be resolved
Having meetings to discuss progress
May have to go out at nights with teams
Looking at the procurement of what subcontractors have brought in.
Attend volume and visualisation meetings
Answering to different departments, infrastructure, signal projects manager, and another project PM.
Potentially assisting with E&P department
Could go permanent, be flexible to work in other departments.

o Key accountabilities
Manage and direct the Contractors to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.
Undertake reviews of design and/or construction activities. Arrange audits of contractors monitoring safety, environment and quality of design, construction, testing and commissioning and management systems is adequate.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Implement safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Assurance of work plans to enable work to be delivered safely, efficiently and compliant to standards.
Identify and propose asset renewals.
Manage information to update systems, databases and records.
Discharge the relevant duties assigned to the ‘CDM Contractor in accordance with the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
Identify and share best practice across the various teams.
Prioritise and approve work arising.
Approval of work orders complete and provide assurance that works have been completed in accordance with relevant standards
o Desirable experience
Knowledge of signalling maintenance and construction management processes, systems and standards.
