This contract with our defence client is for a Army Labourer for up to 12 months. The role is located in Upavon and requires fulltime onsite. The pay rate is £10.42ph PAYE.  

 

Job Description:  

 

To provide Labour and maintenance work in support of the Quartermasters department and the Station. This is a widely varied and busy multi tasked role. Carrying out general duties including, moving furniture and stores, assisting with Station events, cleaning work and other miscellaneous tasks. This position is a mixture of both outside and inside working and can be physically demanding.  

 

The role includes:  

- Heavy lifting of stores items, including office furniture, primarily up and down stairs and within confined spaces.  

- Stores delivery within the Station and escorting contractors.  

- Driving duties, including collecting of stores from outside locations and refuelling the duty vehicle.  

- Site fuel tank, electric and gas readings.  

- Collect and deliver laundry to the Officer and Sergeants Mess.  

- Assist with fire extinguisher maintenance.  

- Any other tasks required by the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS)/Quartermaster (QM) commensurate with the grade.

Requirements

- Someone who can lift items – handle heavy equipment.  

- UK Driving Licence  

- Can come from any background
