About the role
This is a key role in helping to deliver our client's growth in Greater Manchester and the North of England following the launch of their office in central Manchester in October 2016. You will work very closely with
the Associate Director in Manchester who has been establishing our clients initial position in the market and leads their work in the property and regeneration sectors. You will be supported by and work closely with colleagues in our other offices, in particular the London-based acoustics and air quality teams.
What we’re looking for?
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrable experience of working on projects in Greater Manchester and the wider region
Have an acoustics degree or an Institute of Acoustic Diploma (or equivalent experience)
Be a full corporate member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA)
Relevant experience within acoustics, including environmental acoustics (reports supporting planning and EIA) and/or architectural acoustics (including provision of design advice and interface with the design team)
Experience of writing technical reports for a variety of projects
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams working to tight deadlines and strictly defined budgets
It will be an advantage if you have:
Sufficient knowledge of air quality and/or other technical services to represent these disciplines in client meetings
Demonstrable experience of business development and bidding
