Our client is a major design, engineering and project management consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for multiple experienced professionals to join them on permanent basis. This role is for a Senior Highways Engineer located in Leeds.  

 

Job Description:  

 

Key responsibilities:  

- Leading technical delivery of highway engineering projects and key technical input into multi-disciplinary projects.  

- Project management on multi-disciplinary schemes and delivery.  

- Act as Technical Discipline Lead or Technical Reviewer on complex projects.  

- Maintaining excellent client relationships and ability to develop new clients.  

- Line Management of a team of senior engineers, engineers, technicians and apprentices.  

- Mentoring and supporting the development of Early Careers.  

- Overseeing and supervising multi-disciplinary global teams to deliver complex schemes.  

- Support the Transportation business in winning work, acting as Bid Manager, leading and preparing bids  

- Representing the business at networking events, and establish, maintain and develop relationships with existing and prospective internal and external clients.

Requirements

- BEng, MEng or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.  

- IEng or CEng with a relevant professional institution with at least 5 years post professional qualification.  

- Extensive experience of working with our key clients, e.g. Local Authorities, National Highways, Developers and/or major Contractors.  

- Demonstrable experience of managing project delivery for multi-disciplinary highways schemes.  

- Extensive experience in highways related technical standards.  

- Demonstrable experience of people management, staff mentoring.
