Lead Civil 3D Designer

Our client is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, project management and civil services consultancies. They have a requirement for a Lead Civil 3D Designer to join their growing team on a permanent basis and to help support their increasing portfolio and workload. This role will be based at their office in London  

Job Description:  

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up teams and structures to generate and deliver models and drawings to established standards on a range of projects from nationally significant to smaller scale schemes. Excellent communication skills will be required to liaise with other disciplines, modellers, engineers and clients to ensure that designs are delivered right first time. Experience with setting up and operating Projectwise or BIM360 and an understanding of their various functions and how to get the best out of them is required with a willingness to provide support and guidance to junior BIM staff.

- Fully competent in AutoCAD & Civils 3D.  

- Experience implementing and administrating common data environments such as ProjectWise / BIM360.  

- Detailed Knowledge of External Works, Utilities & Highways modelling.  

- Leading Teams.  

- Excellent communication skills.  

- Willingness to adopt new technology / techniques.  

- Knowledge of BIM.  

Preferred skills & requirements:  

- Experience interfacing with Revit modelling.  

- Prior experience of producing BIM Execution Plans.  

- Awareness / previous experience of ESRI ArcGIS.  

- Navisworks capability.  

Additional requirements:  

- Willingness to be security vetted.  

- UK based British National.
