Estimator - M&E Rail

Job description
Our client is a market leader within the Construction, Civils and Rail sector with multiple offices across the UK and Ireland, they are currently hiring for an Estimator located in Kent.
The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared correctly in an explicit and consistent manner which takes into account the methods of construction and all circumstances which may affect the execution of the work on a project within their rail M&E specialist team
Other responsibilities include:
- Ensure tender documents, addendums, client correspondence etc., are logged on the server and relevant team members are issued with copies.
- Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedule, obtaining suggestions / feedback from the tender team, procurement department preferred/ approved contractor schedules.
- Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules (where applicable).
- Issue materials enquiries
Requirements
- Must have experience within M&E in construction, desirably for in the rail sector
- Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills to accurately evaluate detailed specifications, cost and risk.
- Must be detail orientated
- Must have a detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs. In addition, they should be familiar with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software.
