This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established design, engineering, project management and building services consultancy. Our client is a well renowned International consultancy who are looking for BIM Specialists to work on a number of Nuclear projects.  

This role involves working on Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework. This is 7-year framework, with the option of a further 3 years, which will deliver specialist nuclear technical services valued between £250-million to £400-million to support DIO, Navy Command and other MOD organisations.  

 

Locations: Glasgow, Warrington or Newcastle Office (flexible working)  

 

This role might require obtaining the government security clearance.  

 

The Project BIM Coordinator is a key function within the project delivery and will help with coordination and management of project workflows which assist with the creation and managing of digital information. The Project BIM Coordinator will have responsibility for ensuring the model is developed to the agreed levels of information and in strict accordance with the agreed standards, methods and procedures, defined in the project BEP. The Project BIM Coordinator shall develop the required data sets and conduct clash detection and model coordination and assist the team with any model issues that may arise.  

 

The Building Services BIM Coordinator will:  

-Help configure the Revit Project Template to form discipline specific template.  

-Help organise and deliver the BIM kick off meeting.  

-Ensure the Task Information Delivery Plan reflects the programme and is maintained.  

-Assist project teams with modelling and detailing on projects.  

-Liaise with other offices on all aspects of Project set-up.  

-Liaise with other offices on project delivery, ensuring UK standards are aligned and the project is de-risked.  

-Develop and Maintain the Risk Register and help resolve BIM design issues.  

-Manage and maintain project content and request additional content for project teams as required.  

-Ensure the latest project systems are clearly identified and required software versions are available for existing and new projects.  

-Produce clash data sets and perform coordination and clash detection on all models.  

-Help with the training of the more junior members of the team  

-Troubleshoot Problems with BIM Authoring tools.  

-Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the project team.
