Job description

Our client is an environmental consultancy that works across the UK and Ireland. At the moment they are recruiting for Town Planners across all levels for their London offices to support the growing team.

You will work closely with Project Managers and other Consultants, especially within the property team, but will also provide advice on infrastructure projects. The roles will afford you the opportunity to continue to deliver growth through exciting and very diverse planning projects as well as helping to promote and secure work across the company’s other propositions.

They would expect you to have some experience in winning new work, especially at more senior levels, and the enthusiasm and drive to want to continue to do that. They offer an open and collaborative working style and afford every opportunity for their staff to progress and make the most of opportunities that they themselves want to bring forward.

Requirements

Our Client is seeking enthusiastic Town Planners to support sustained growth in a number of their key service areas, especially in relation to Property. They would expect Senior Town Planners to have 5 years plus experience and Principal Town Planners to have 8 years plus experience. You will be MRTPI qualified and while we welcome applications from both the public and private sectors, at least some experience of private sector consultancy will be an advantage.

You will also need to:

• Have at least a good degree in a relevant field typically Town Planning or Geography;

• Be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Planning System

• Be capable of managing and delivering complex planning applications but also be willing to deal with simpler matters with a hands-on attitude to the work;

• Be organised, flexible, motivated, professional, enthusiastic and proactive with a strong work ethic.
