We are currently recruiting for a PMO Project Manager for our construction and engineering client.

Contract length: 31st March 2022

Rate: £445pd PAYE

Location: remote

About the role:

Working within the Core IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for coordinating and managing resource plans against assigned project demands. You will play a key role in managing resources to deliver projects within the portfolio of Core IT projects to high standards of predictability, performance and service. Core IT project teams apply ITIL and Agile methods and Oracle, Microsoft or 3rd party platforms to rapidly deliver value. You will become familiar with the skillsets of the teams within Core IT to come up with creative resource options, including coordinating with key 3rd party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

You will manage assigned projects to deliver outcomes and value while meeting cost, time and quality demands

You will manage client expectations and drive communication & collaboration between the client and delivery teams

You will follow the standards set for projects by Core IT PMO such as Data Impact Assessment and Change Release practices

You will contribute to the Core IT PMO team to support continuous improvements of methods, tools and techniques.

Using strong inter-personal skills, you will build relationships with all the Core IT team - both at Maidenhead and remotely – to understand individuals’ skillsets, strengths and aspirations to apply to a rounded view of best fit for project roles

Where working with specific clients, you will work with department managers, to support them to plan for future skills and capacity needs for their teams, building forward training and development plans

You will apply your experience and Way tools to highlight and manage risks associated with resourcing

About You:

Organised and disciplined, a strong coordinator, comfortable using Excel & Project and similar tools for planning

Effective communicator, strong inter-personal skills and ability to persuade

Problem solver who is positive and calm under pressure

Comfortable working with analysts and clients in requirements gathering and prioritisation

Comfortable working with technology specialists and customer-focused and pragmatic in their approach to delivery

Curious about people, and skills trends in the IT market

Desirable: demonstrated experience in a similar role in a Professional Services environment

Desirable: demonstrated experience in delivery of Microsoft Azure based services

Desirable: previous experience as an IT Project Manager
