NDT specialist (UT, RT, MPI), Paris Mainly office based, with some travel to NDT Suppliers located in Europe and short trips of 2 to 3 weeks out-of-Europe Technical support for all non-destructive testing activities related to pipeline construction projects with special emphasis on Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Provide technical advice and support to Welding Engineers and Welding Supervisory Personnel in relation to NDT activities Act as the primary source of expertise for AUT and NDT methods at both onshore and offshore worksites Establish Project requirements for all NDT activities in accordance with the applicable Specifications, Codes and Standards Advise on NDT method selection and application Oversee the development and qualification of NDT procedures Maintain close liaison with the Customer’s Technical Representative regarding NDT matters Monitor and oversee the activities performed by NDT service providers The monitor the performance of NDT operators and technicians Provide training and instruction on NDT issues for Welding and Operations personnel Collate and analyse data for performance feedback and improvement Assist in vendor evaluation and selection Provide technical and commercial assistance in the preparation of tenders Applicants should be degree qualified in a relevant Science or Engineering subject (or Diploma/Higher National Qualification/or An extensive and documented career development record in the relevant field of activity) 10 years experience in the field of welding Inspection and NDT operations including experience in AUT; a current, Internationally recognised Certification (e.
