New Business Development & Competitive Intelligence Analyst.
Building-up and maintain systematic, efficient and transparent E&P competitive intelligence and knowledge bases. Monitoring of competitor companies, M&A deals and regional marketplaces in order to inform and enable EB(M) to pro actively act upon upcoming opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible together with other team members for an evergreen M&A opportunity inventory. The incumbent will pro actively retrieve data and run sensitivities in close liaison with line management. Mastering a structured and consistent process to extract competitor and market information for decision-making support is critical. Creativity comes into play to anticipate strategic options.
Further responsibilities and duties shall include but not limited:
Identify highly attractive M&A opportunities in relevant countries
Manage the incorporation of the Company’s standards of HSE, ethical conduct and environmental excellence to all E&P projects and activities
Contribute to setting of strategic objectives for the company.
Liaison with business development professionals in operating companies
Commercial or Geoscience degree, alternatively demonstrable track record in handling large amounts of company performance related data and summaries thereof
5+ years EP industry experience
Data quality assurance and numerical talent
Hands-on experience with project ranking/performance tracking software is a plus
Team player managing own area of responsibility
Capable to manage, understand and filter through large data sets
Ability to deliver quality results within demanding time frames
Broad-based understanding of related technical and non-technical disciplines
Skilled in MS Project, Excel and knowledge of database tools & SiteScape fora
Basic understanding of project economics
Keen to entertain a steep learning curve
Fluent English (advanced level reading & writing), including E&P technical terms
Excellent presentation skills
Efficient, structured communicator
