New Ventures Business Manager. My client is a large E&P Company with offices in London and the Far East. They are currently looking for a New Ventures Business Manager for their New Ventures Group to be based in London, but with significant travel.
The main objective of the role, working in close collaboration with their headquarters in the Far East and will be to establish a new Profit Centre over the next ten years with the main focus on, Africa.
The position will report to the Senior Adviser to the President in the Far East and the Executive Director of the clients UK office.
The successful candidate will have worked in the Upstream industry for more than 20 years with a strong technical background - preferably Geosciences - but will have spent a considerable part of their career (circa 10 years +) in New Ventures and Business Development covering a range of investment and cultural environments. Experience in Africa will be advantageous but not essential.
The incumbent will be required to have strong communication skills as they will be liaising both internally and externally with parties ranging from Far East to third party vendors. A business integrative approach with a strong self-starting motivation will be critical
This new position will have three direct reports initially.
The New Ventures Business Manager will work closely with the London Senior Management Team from whom he/she will be drawing support to deliver critical and timely business decisions.
