Design Engineer C&I, Power & Gas, Belgium. A leading European engineering company is seeking for its Power & Gas departments a Design Engineer in Instrumentation & Control.
The successful applicant will design the I & C systems and the Machine-Machine and Human-Machine interfaces of power stations and the related installations such as selection of the I & C systems to be installed and/or studies of process automation, control and monitoring; draft the technical specifications for I & C contracts; participate in the follow up of equipment and systems (including the hardware and software aspects) during manufacture and installation (acceptance tests and inspections in the workshops and on site after installation); participate in (and later manage) Installation, preparation of tenders, design bids and implementation bids.
Applicants should be Engineers and/or Graduates, with specialisation in electro-mechanical or automation, have a good knowledge of applied information technology, be fluent in English (language skills in French & Dutch is a plus). You are proactive in the participation of design, implementation and start up of projects, are good at coordinating and integrating the various technologies in the overall concept of projects and you have experience in the field of process I&C.
Applicants have a genuine interest in permanent relocation to Belgium.
